Keith Prince banned the flying of the Gay Pride flag. This was a wonderful piece of *gesture* politics. It was free, it got ‘good’ PR and his supporters liked it. Gay Pride activists climbed onto the Town Hall roof and flew the flag anyway. One unexpected consequence is that it reveals serious weaknesses in the supposed protection that CCTV provides.

The data centre was due to be discussed at the Planning Committee on the 30th April 2026. The meeting was cancelled. This is because it is politically inconvenient to make a decision on a toxic item a week before an election.
