Politics in Havering 
I’ve spoken to some of these officers about local problems that could easily be cleared up – honestly. They weren’t interested. One said try the council and the other walked away. Total indifference and uselessness.

Havering’s politicians have boxed themselves in. They are all ‘Law and Order’ fans and they interpret this as a signalling opportunity. HRA spent millions beefing up the CCTV programme without ever giving it a critical analysis. The obvious question: Is it value for money was never asked because they weren’t interested in the answer. Likewise: Section92 officers. It’s a performance not a careful response to a question.
